The live-action “Beauty and the Beast” Disney movie highlighted what so many fans of the animated movie loved. There was a beautiful woman (the incomparable Emma Watson), a monstrous beast, funny side characters, a truly evil Gaston, and a redemption plot that showcases the power of love. What theme would better suit a great wedding than that of a fairy tale inspired wedding! If you’re looking for a wedding fairy tail come true, turn to these Beauty and the Beast themed wedding ideas.
The Outfits
When it comes time to dress up for the wedding, there are many options for the bride. The best is probably a yellow dress that looks like the one Belle wore in both the animated and live-action movie. This dress is gorgeous and will fit a wide range of women. Obviously, brunettes are going to look more “Belle-like” than blondes, but they can still try out this style too. They don’t have to be left out of the fun just because of their hair color.
The groom has a few options here, too. Some more extreme fans may want to wear a Beast mask to look the part. I don’t suggest this route because it is a little too silly. Instead, he can be styled like the human beast, including wearing his trademark blue suit. The bridesmaids and groomsmen should wear similar styles, too.
Decorations To Utilize
The world of “Beauty and the Beast” has a variety of awesome decoration ideas that you can use for your wedding. The animated and live action movie used anthropomorphic decorations to fill out the cast, items that you can integrate with your wedding such as candlesticks, teapots and teacups, small clocks, and decorative pianos or harpsichords. Make sure to finds items that look as much like the Disney movie versions as possible. Try vintage furniture rental shops for awesome finds (one of my favorite is Something Vintage Rentals).
Stationery That Looks Great
When deciding on stationery that looks good for a “Beauty and the Beast” wedding, go for some that are a little more old-fashioned. The movies take place centuries ago, so your stationery should match that aesthetic. Your napkins, table markers, and invitations should all match the brown, gold, and blue colors of the movies. You should also use phrases from the movie to decorate the stationary. Concepts like “tale as old as time” and phrases like “be our guest!” are very memorable and create an atmosphere that is suitable for your theme wedding.
By following these simple ideas, you can get the great theme wedding that you deserve. Celebrating your love of “Beauty and the Beast” and looking as gorgeous as Emma Watson can help you have a memorable wedding that no one will forget.
