If you’re anything like most newly engaged couples, you want a wedding day that is not only unforgettable, but unlike any other wedding that has been done before. While it might seem like everything has already been tried, there are plenty of unique ideas to help you garner wedding inspiration. Today, I’ve got unique ideas for a wedding that stands out from all the rest!
Air Balloon Shuttle
Although you are probably going to need quite the budget or at least a close friend with an air balloon farm, this is definitely a wildly fun idea to consider! Since many weddings usually involve guests having to travel from the ceremony site to the reception site (often by car) why not make the whole transportation process a little breezier…literally! After the ceremony, guests can hop in an air balloon and sail through the air to the reception destination. That is definitely a wedding day no one will forget!
Pre-Ceremony Cocktails
It isn’t standard practice to have refreshments of any kind before the wedding ceremony so when your caterers serve up some yummy pre-ceremony cocktails, it will be quite a delightful treat. Obviously, you don’t want a full-service bar with a bunch of strong liquor options right before you say your vows, but you can have a few waiters circulating the area with trays of mimosas and other light drinks before the ceremony begins. It’s also a good idea to include a non-alcoholic beverage option for kids and the guests who don’t drink.
An Exit People Can’t Forget (or Ignore)
If you want to keep the fun going directly after either the ceremony, reception, or both, orchestrate a mini parade for the wedding party and all the guests. This works especially well if the ceremony site and reception site are relatively close and within walking distance. If you have musically inclined guests attending your wedding like a friend who can play the guitar or even the tuba, invite them to bring their instruments for an impromptu parade. Invite kids who are invited to the wedding to partake in the fun by blowing bubbles and throwing confetti. Allow everyone in attendance to show off their talents and have a good time celebrating one of the biggest decisions of your life!
Midnight Snacks
When it starts to seem like the party is ending and everyone is winding down, surprise your guests with some yummy late-night treats. After all of that dancing, your guests could probably use something to nibble on and give them a little extra energy to get home. There are plenty of adorable snack ideas like chocolate chip cookies served atop milk shooters. If you want to really jazz it up with the midnight snack, you could open up a taco bar where guests could load up their tacos with tons of toppings and gorge on the mouth-watering food before bidding adieu.
The Wedding Party Choreographed Dance
So this might not be the most unique idea in the book, but it’s not often done and you can pick a song that has never been choreograph danced at a wedding before. While there are obvious fan favorites like “Thriller”, invite your wedding party to rehearse a lesser-known choreographed dance to perform at the wedding. This is a great way for the whole wedding party to bond and show off something unforgettable at the wedding reception.
I like your Midnight snacks idea. Almost every persons are awake in the wedding ceremony. It is great to arranged some snacks for them. I will try to apply this idea.
