Planning for your wedding, shower, or other social event can be a lot of work and involve so many details. From brainstorming an appropriate theme to coordinating vendors for food, beverages, and décor for your special day, it can be challenging to get exactly what you want your party to represent. It also has to fit you, the couple or parent-to-be, individually, as well as speak to the next chapter your event will bring. That’s a lot of pressure for anyone.
One of the most overlooked components of a successful event is the stationery: invitations or other artistically designed signage for your day. Most people don’t understand the art behind beautiful stationery and the power it has over setting the tone for an event. That’s where hiring a stationery design (like me!) comes in.
Stationery designers work closely with you to understand your goals and unique personalities. Here at Creations By Sasha, I start with a detailed questionnaire, which will help me get to know who you are as an individual or couple. Any specific detail about who you are, however small, goes a long way. Are you passionate about nature and the outdoors? Two brides or two grooms (or any combination on the gender spectrum!) embarking on a life together? Bringing quintuplets into this world all on your own? I use it all to create unique stationery that matches your event and your personality. After this questionnaire, we’ll set up a time to chat. If you’re working with a different stationery designer, make sure you set up some time to talk! This helps us designers get a better understanding of you as an individual and of your event which helps us tailor your stationery.
When it comes to stationery, I know there are a lot of options. Most of the time things like font, white space, wording, and overall appearance, can be overwhelming. But I love all of that stuff and so do other designers in the stationery industry! Trusting professionals can make the design process so much easier for you and give you piece of mind while getting exactly what you want for your event.
