Handing out favors at your wedding is incredibly generous so no matter what you end up giving out, your guests are going to be grateful as it truly is the thought that counts. That being said, there are some gifts that are going to be more useful than others and if you’re going to give something to people you might as well make it something that they will use. Whether you like things more personal or practical, here are a few creative ideas that we love.
Neatly packaged food
You can take this in a wide variety of ways. It is pretty easy to find the little clear plastic gift bags and have personalized tags made so all you need to do is figure out what you want to fill it with. You can’t really go wrong with candy – try to stay away from chocolate if you’re having an outdoor summer wedding. I have also seen a few couples give out seasonal fruit, such as peaches, which you don’t have to wrap at all and add a pop of color. Food is just such an easy and convenient idea because it is cheap and something your guests will undoubtedly enjoy.
Plants!
From trendy succulents to single stem flowers in a small vase, plants are going to be a big part of your wedding so might as well give them away at the end! A cute idea is to have your reception tables decorated with a bunch of succulents in little vases that guests can just take home with them as favors, or you can use them as place makers making it more personalized. If you’re not into succulents, you can get small vases and put little roses and a sprig of greenery in them. This is very cute and smart as you are getting decorations and favors at the same time.
Personalized cups
Whether you’re into coffee mugs, stemless wine glasses or champagne flutes there is a way to meet your taste with this favor idea. This can be rather pricey if you are having a large wedding so bear that in mind, however it is very cute and something your guests will keep for a long time. Have a memento of your wedding printed on the outside of whatever cups you select whether it be your wedding date, logo or just initials. If you want to go all out and have the guests names printed on the glasses you can do that as well, and use them as place markers!
Journals
Let’s be honest, you can never really have too many journals. Similar to the idea above, you can bulk order any journal of your choice and either have them printed or engraved with some memento of your wedding day, or personalized with each guest’s name. These are so cute stacked on tables and you can dress them up with some twine and flowers or greenery. Not only is this something unique to give out, but it is also something that will last your guests a long time and is not too crazy expensive!
